I haven't been around for awhile, but I wanted to post about what finally seems to have helped me. I had a very nasty cancer on the side of my nose. It was large and bled constantly. It formed a black scab that wasn't really a normal scab, I think it was mostly dried blood and gunk, and it would wash off easily. I couldn't leave the house without, not only a band aid, but I had to put an extra piece of cosmetic pad under the bandaid, otherwise it would bleed through. It was horrible having to time when I would wash my face so as not to have to risk it bleeding all over me in yoga class, etc. There was also a pice of scabby stuff that was getting close to my right eye. I was really scared, and I don't know how I lived through it.

I tried so many things, anyone can search my name and find my old posts.

Finally out of desperation I tried tea tree oil mixed with DMSO. I think there's is a thread on this forum about this combo. It says that the treatment is horrible painful, smells horrible, etc. it wasn't really any of those things, though I don't like the smell of TTO.

I used the tea tree oil from Bael Wellness that i bought through Amazon. It doesn't smell as strong as the TTO I buy to add to my laundry. I also used the DMSO from Exclusive Wellness Club https://www.amazon.com/Exclusive-Wellness-Club-Odorless-99-995/dp/B009L6NW4U/ref=sr_1_7_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1485191075&sr=1-7&keywords=dmso. This DMSO really doesn't make me stink like garlic, while cheaper ones that I tried in the past were horrible.

Anyway, what I did was this. For the first 48 hours or so I kept a pad on the area wet with the combo continuously. After that 2 days I felt like my skin had been seared, like a chemical burn. I took several days off to give my skin a chance to calm down, then I would hit it again but only kept the pad on a few hours at a time. I took breaks here and there just to let my skin calm down. The itching at times was really bad. It didn't take very long to see a remarkable improvement, like a week or two. As time went on, I took more time off from the treatment, and also just wound down from keeping a pad soaked with the mixture on my face, to merely swabbing the area with a Q-tip.

I haven't used it now for months. I haven't had to wear a bandaid on my face for many months.

I didn't use any formula for the mix of the two. In fact I didn't mix then up in one container. I have the bottle of TTO and a separate little bottle of the DMSO diluted 50/50 with distilled water. I took a piece of cosmetic pad (cut down to the size I needed), put a few drops of the DMSO on it, then put a few drops of the TTO on it. That was it. You can secure the pice of pad with a bandaid or other tape.

I did take pictures but they are so horrible I don't want to look at them right now.

I really wish everyone the best. I knew in my heart that there was something out there that would help me, and I found it. Don't give up. Not everything works for everyone. I tried petty spurge, vitamin c, iodine, cymmillium, lots of things.

Please also understand that I eat a very clean diet, take lots of supplements, and do lots of detox.

This is awesome, thanks for the post gloe!

Looking into tea tree oil, it has 15 major ingredients:

Chromatographic Profile of Tea Tree Oil (From ISO 4730:2004)
Order of Abundance Components Maximum% Minimum%
1 Terpinen-4-ol 48 30
2 c-Terpinene 28 10
3 1,8-Cineole 15 Trace
4 a-Terpinene 13 5
5 a-Terpineol 8 1.5
6 q-Cymene 8 0.5
7 a-Pinene 6 1
8 Terpinolene 5 1.5
9 Sabinene 3.5 Trace
10 d-Cadinene 3 Trace
11 Ledene (syn.viridiflorene) 3 Trace
12 Aromadendrene 3 Trace
13 Limonene 1.5 0.5
14 Globulol 1 Trace
15 Viridiflorol 1 Trace
The ISO 4730:2004 describes the concentration ranges of
all 15 major ingredients, which are listed in the order of
their relative abundance.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3860352/pdf/i2164-2591-2-7-2.pdf

We see lots of terpenes, which are chemicals made by plants for self defense.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terpene
One terpene that worked for me on skin cancer was D limonene. Other people have have success with other terpenes as well, such as cannibis. The DMSO probably acted as a carrier to improve the depth under the skin that the active terpenes were able to reach.

Anyway, it was great that you found something that worked and that you shared it! I think diet is super important, especially reducing processed foods, sugar, omega 6 oils, and protein snacks before sleeping. If you wouldn't mind, could you describe the supplements that you take? I take quite a few myself and have wondered which have contributed to me not having to worry about skin cancer for several years now. I hate to mess with something that is working.

That's really wonderful news gloe. I'm so glad you finally succeeded in getting rid of this. Your perseverance FINALLY paid off, good on you! I must say I had never heard of this combination but it must be pretty potent so may try it in the future. Would be great to see a photo of it now when you feel ready.

Congratulations gloe! It must be a big relief. Thanks for passing on the information. Will have to give TTO a try if I get any more BCCs in the future.

Dan, thanks. I just wrote you a big long reply and it got lost. Just can't retype it.

I have been under the care of an alternative doctor for 25 years taking lots of great, expensive, supplements, and obviously none of that prevented my skin from becoming an absolute mess. There are a few things I did New recently, though, that might have helped. I got my blood levels of vitamin d up to about 80 by taking large doses of d3. I experimented with huge doses of oral vitamin c ascorbic acid and sometimes liposomal c, very large doses, but that was at the end of 2015, and I stopped that. It did help, though, but it was expensive and hard to keep up. It made me very tired. I stopped the huge doses several months before I did the tea tree oil treatment. Finally iodine. I started large oral doses of lugols soon after I started the tea tree oil, though my skin had already greatly improved. I got up to 100 mgs a day in July, and have continued that to this day. There are companion nutrients you need to take with the iodine, magnesium, vit c, selenium and unprocessed salt, but I had already been taking them.

Already had been eating a very clean diet for many, many, years, so that is not new to me.

Hi Cheryl, I learned about the tea tree oil treatment right here, on this site. Someone posted a few times about it. I waited to do it because was afraid it would be so painful, but it turned out not to be. Worst part was pretty good itching!

Apparently this combo had been studied on mice, I think, and they found it worked whereas tea tree oil alone or dmso alone did not work. Need the combo.

Hey Gloe

Fantastic results!

Thanks for sharing your experience and detailing your approach and products used...

I am pretty sure the D3 supplementation has some merit to healthier skin but I suspect the Tea tree oil / Dmso combo is in of itself a treatment option that will all by itself work...of course this is just a suspicion. Certainly you take a knife and cut it out that is what cut it out..I suspect the tea tree oil kills the cancer cells and dmso just assist in delivering the killer oil to the deeper cells...just guessing no real science to it

On the Iodine how much are you taking daily and how did you calculate how much to take?

Hi, someone on this site in another thread had posted about the tea tree oil/dmso combo. I think it might have been on one of the vitamin c threads. It had been used successfully in mice. They said dmso alone and tea tre oil alone did not work.

As I said, I got up to 100 mg (that's milligrams!) of iodine daily. That's a lot. 40 drops of lugols 2%. There are companion nutrients that need to be taken with it. The "protocol" is based on Dr. Brownstein's work. He has a book out on it, and a bunch of free YouTube videos. I am in a private FB group for iodine. Some people do take it for various cancers, but those folks usually get up to 200 mg or 300 mg per day, for at least 6 months to a year. I was really winging it as far as how much to take. I felt horrible on doses like 25-50 mg so kept raising it and felt better at higher doses. A lot of people in my FB group report that they felt better on higher doses, so that is what I was going by.

Anyway, the tea tree oil/dmso treatment is not that hard to do. It did make my skin all red and irritated (and itchy!) but I would take several days break to give my skin a chance to calm down after a few pretty intense days of treatment. I think Dan did something like that when he used orange oil on the back of his neck.

Thanks gloe. Yes, there was a vitamin C thread that had the tea tree oil + dmso combo described by mark72. It seems very helpful. http://www.topicalinfo.org/forum/topic.asp?whichpage=5.86&TOPIC_ID=141&SearchTerms=tea%20tree%20oil#8592

Be sure to scroll up and the term "tea tree oil" should be highlighted.

Here is most of what is in that vitamin C thread regarding tea tree oil combined with dmso for treatment of skin cancer from mark72:

I went through the same ordeal. After using many topical combos without much success, I was considering 2 Options.
1 - Vitamin C + DMSO.
2 - Tea Tree Oil (TTO) + DMSO.
I still consider Option (1) as a Plan B, but I skipped it and used option 2 because:
There isn’t a standard detailed procedure for Vitamin C treatment. There is not Scientific Research for using topically Vitamin C. Preparation and use of the solution of Vitamin C is very sensitive. Any solution of Vitamin C exposed to the Oxygen of the Air, oxidized quickly, in hours. If cancer is deep in derma, Vitamin C needs a carrier most likely DMSO. It is hard to find real Vitamin C i.e. (L- Ascorbic acid). Finding real DMSO isn’t easy too. The use of Na/K Ascorbate vs. (L- Ascorbic acid) isn’t established yet. The treatment of serious skin Cancer (wide and deep) is associated with infections, so people are forced to ease up, taking breaks and using antibiotics. For most of the people a scab created over the wound is normal. In fact this is abnormal because, the formation of scabs compromises the treatment, because it blocks the penetration of Vitamin C, and creates pockets, prone of the secondary infections.
The treatment with DMSO + Vitamin C is very primitive, and not well established. Some say 50% H2O, 50% DMSO saturated solution with Vitamin C, but only a few used this combo.
On the other hand option 2 treatments is clearer and well established.
The combo is with Tea Tree Oil mixture 1 volume TTO / 9 volume DMSO. The frequency is minimum every 12 hours and Maximum every 6 hours with an 8 hours slip over the night.
Depending of the size and depth of skin cancer one treatment procedure is:
1 -The area is cleaned with boiled distilled water, and cooled to around 100F.
2 - TTO/DMSO is applied with a dropper with 4 to 4 coats. In open wound it burns real hard, no pain no gain.
3 – A Cotton Swab I repeat (Cotton Swab) not paper, saturated with TTO/DMSO is hold over the wound via 2 Micro pore tape ˝” wide each (I have ordered overseas a Package with 4” x 4” real sterile cotton gauze pads). This hurt for about 20 minutes, and smell terpinen-4-ol, so you may sleep in a separate room, and if you were working you would be expelled from the work place, because of the smell.
Make sure to find TTO with (Min 37% terpinen-4-ol 3and Max 5% 1,8-cineole types in a Glass bottle and with an Expiration Date, which is stamped on the bottle.
AVOID THE SCAB.
In first sessions after the pain eases up, 1 hour or so after the treatment the wound liquefied, and a clear fluid is pouring. This is the Lymphatic fluid with necrotic cells. In 3 to 4 hours, this fluid turns in a thick mass, and if not removed, not mechanically, but by dissolving in the warm water for at least 10 minutes, it harden and creates a scab, compromising all the treatment, and leading to infections.
During the cleaning the wound via a cotton ball, soaked in sterilized water, the wound was clean, and drying with sterile cotton Gauze, you can see pink traces but not real bleeding.
This process was continued for weeks, before the wound starts healing.
In this stage the wound has a tendency to turn dry, so I modified the treatment.
3 applications of TTO/DMSO, and after covering with a cotton swab soaked with melted coconut oil warmed up to > 78 F.
My entire long story has 2 points:
1 Avoid the scab over the wound.
2 Attack cancer with a lethal dose of a cancer killer and antibacterial substance.
I continued to treat the area for 6 months, twice a day with TTO/DMSO, and during the last 3 months there was no need for a cotton swab. Just 3 rolls with a Q – Tip soaked with TTO/DMSO. During the day I was giving extra applications with solution MgCl2.6H2O 20% i.e. 5% Mg++ solution in distilled water, and Coconut Oil as necessary.

For reasons I cannot comprehend it is hard to find these information …

First- Be careful when buying Tea Tree Oil. Tea Tree Oil is available commercially in a range of grades. It is worthwhile to use the best quality oil you can find. Very often, you get what you pay for. Make sure to find out what kind of Tea Tree Oil you are getting.
You want to look at the Cineole and Terpinen-4-ol numbers.
Cineole: The lower the number the better. Tree oils with high cineole content are thought to be of poor quality and more likely to cause skin irritation.
Terpinen-4-ol: The higher the number the better. Terpinen-4-ol appears responsible for most of the antimicrobial activity of tea tree oil.
Australian standard for Tea Tree Oil (AS2782-1985) requires a maximum cineol content of 15% and a minimum terpinen-4-ol of 30%.
Categories of Tea Tree Oil: Cineole / Terpinen-4-ol Concentrations:
•Pharmaceutical Grade: 3% or less Cineole; 37% or more Terpinen-4-ol
• Cosmetic Grade: 5% or less Cineole; 35% or more Terpinen-4-ol
• Technical Grade: 10% or less Cineole; 30% or more Terpinen-4-ol
Make sure you review the chemical composition of the oil. Tea tree oil is graded by its two main components, terpinen-4-ol and cineole content. Your tea tree oil should be between 30% and 40% terpinen-4-ol and less than 7% cineole content. These two components are related so the higher the terpinen content, the lower the cineole content. A quick way you can tell content is to look for a designation such as “T40 C1.5” or something similar.
If the grade isn't disclosed on the bottle you may be ripped off, and your health won't improve.
I buy Tea Tree Oil from different suplyers:
Last bottle I bought in Amazon is from:
Thursday Plantation 100% PURE
Australia's Original. TEA TREE OIL
ANTISEPTIC
Minimum 36%
Terpinen-4-ol
1.7 fl oz/50ml
EXP MAY2019
So get it in glass bottle, with at least Minimum 36% Terpinen-4-ol, and with at least 2 more years before EXP. Date.
